چکیده

Several mental conditions and depression, have been linked to immune response disorganization. However, it is unclear if particular mediators play a part in the etiopathogenesis of depression. Although there are no definite biomarkers diagnose current study sought logically evaluate possibility feasibility checking biomarker for depression be utilized hospitalized patients suspected In this narrative review, related articles were gathered through search PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect databases as well manual full-text paper references. The reviewed studies demonstrated potential role transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) depressive disorders. Previous represented negative TGF-β pathophysiology an increase after treatment. Elevated plasma TGF-alpha acted controversial TGF-β. level maternal increased getting close delivery, researchers found that might associated with postpartum addition, reported extreme elevations levels brain cells subjects who died by suicide. results revealed plausible link between based on literature, sensitivity specificity needed before may extensively employed clinical practice. Depression appears down-regulating its signaling or underlying mechanisms pathogenesis consequent neurological disorders, while further required application assessment

Plasma levels of Transforming Growth Factor Beta in HIV-1 patients with oral candidiasis

Background and Purpose: TGF-β is a potent regulator and suppressor of the immune system and overproduction of this cytokine may contribute to immunosuppression in HIV-infected patients. Increasing population of immunosuppressed patients has resulted in increasingly frequent of fungal infections, including oral candidiasis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the plasma levels of TGF-&bet...

The Role of Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 (TGFβ1) in Nasal and Paranasal Sinuses Polyposis

Background and Objectives: Nasal polyposis is a diseases resulting from complex pathogenetic mechanisms. Some studies showed that TGFβ1 had significant role in this pathogenesis. In this study, we investigated the roe of cytokines and mediators in polyp development. Material and Methods: In this case- control study, healthy nasal mucosal samples were obtained from 24 peopl...

Laminar Organization of Cerebral Cortex in Transforming Growth Factor Beta Mutant Mice

Transforming growth factor betas (TGF?s) are one of the most widespread and versatile cytokines. The three mammalian TGF? isoforms, ?1, ?2, and ?3, and their receptors regulate proliferation of neuronal precursors as well as survival and differentiation in neurons of developing and adult nervous system. Functions of TGF?s has a wide spectrum ranging from regulating cell proliferation and differ...

Transforming Growth Factor-beta1 as Lung Injury Biomarker: a Review

Lung injury, induced by chemicals, radiotherapy or others agents is marked by enhancement in the expression of transforming growth factor beta1 (TGF-1) as a result of inflammation. TGF-1 appears to be the major profibrogenic cytokine which regulates the production and deposition of the major extracellular matrix molecules (ECM) and has been reported to be involved in a host of cellular respon...
